Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine grape varietal that originated in Bordeaux region in France. The wine made out of Sauvignon Blanc grapes is usually dry, crisp and refreshing, and best consumed young. It is also famous in desert wines such as Sauternes and Barsac. Sauvignon Blanc is grown in many wine regions, including Bordeaux, Loire Valley (known as Pouilly Fume, Sancerre) in France, USA, Australia, Chile and New Zealand. Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with white meats, fish, shellfish and pork, and it is one of the very few wines that can pair well with sushi.
