France

Wines from France are unequaled in quality and variety, thanks to an ideal combination of soil, climate and centuries long tradition of winemaking, and have become a standard benchmark against which all other wines are judged. The Soil and climate are the most important factors that give wine its special characteristics, therefore geographic location of a vineyard is of utmost importance. France can be divided into several wine producing regions: Bordeaux, The Loire Valley, Alsace, Burgundy, Cotes du Rhone, Champagne and several others.
