Usquaebach Reserve is a high-end, seriously complex blended scotch with very high ratio of malt to grain whisky.
Usquaebach Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky
Usquaebach, meaning “Water of Life” in Scottish Gaelic and the root of the term “whisky,” was established in 1877, and is carefully handcrafted by a distinguished family-owned blending house specializing in the art of whisky.
Devoted to tradition, quality, and craft, Usquaebach’s esteemed Master Blender meticulously selects premium single malts and aged grain whiskies from reputable distillers in the Scottish Highlands, creating four distinctive scotch expressions that embody a spectrum of flavors, all marked by harmony and intricacy.
A standout from the Master Blender’s private reserve, Usquaebach ‘Reserve’ Blended Scotch Whisky stands as a rare blend, with over 50% of its composition comprising quality single malts aged between 16, 17, and 18 years, harmoniously combined with the finest grain whisky. After maturing in three distinct oak casks and undergoing a meticulous marrying process, it attains a smooth, multi-layered finish. This scotch offers a sophisticated complexity and balance, epitomizing the ideal dram.
With an ABV of 43%, its appearance is a captivating yellow gold, while the nose unfolds with notes of butter cookies, whole grain bread, wildflower honey, and baked pear. The palate introduces a gentle peatiness, dried heather, and crisp apple. The finish is seamless, complemented by hints of bitter orange and clove.
