Harvey’s Bristol Cream is a distinguished Sherry blend from southern Spain that offers smooth, creamy notes with subtle aromas, sharpness, and elegance.

Description

The wine regions of Northwest Spain, notably the verdant corner of Galicia, often referred to as “Green Spain,” are defined by their unique terroir. Bordered by the cool and damp Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, Galicia is renowned for the Rías Baixas DO, where the indigenous Albariño grape flourishes. This grape variety produces refreshing wines celebrated for their floral aromas and mineral nuances.

In southern Spain’s Andalusia region, the Jerez-Xérèx-Sherry y Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO is dedicated to the production of Sherry, considered one of the world’s great fortified wines. Bristol Cream, introduced in 1882 and bestowed with a Royal Warrant shortly after, is a notable Sherry blend. It is meticulously crafted from the finest wines of Jerez, including delicate finos, aged amontillados, fragrant olorosos, and the special Pedro Ximenez grape, resulting in a silky, mellow smoothness.

With deep golden chestnut and amber tones, Harvey’s Bristol Cream boasts a full, fragrant nose. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied experience with rich yet mellow notes, concluding with a long-lasting and velvety finish. The Finos and Amontillados contribute subtle aromas, sharpness, and elegance to this exceptional Sherry. A complete and balanced compendium of Jerez wine, Bristol Cream is best enjoyed chilled at 12°C in a wine glass or mixed over ice with a slice of orange.
