Description
Angel’s Envy Rye is a limited edition offering from the Louisville Distilling Company. Conditioned to Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson’s specific direction, Angel’s Envy Rye is a product of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Aged for six years in American new charred oak barrels, the whiskey is then placed in Caribbean Plantation XO Rum casks, which actually began as French Cognac casks, for up to 18 months for final maturation. Bottled at 50% alc/vol.
On the nose, you’ll detect notes of citrus, caramel, vanilla, and spice. The palate reveals flavors of maple sugar, hazelnut, oak, vanilla, and a touch of sherry sweetness. The finish is of medium length, characterized by sherry sweetness and subtle hints of spice, culminating in a drying sensation.
