Port Dundas was a single grain Scotch distillery, established in 1811 and closed in 2010. The distillery is currently owned by Diageo, and it produced grain whisky used in Johnnie Walker J&B, Bell’s, Black & White, Vat 69, Haig and White Horse. After the closure the production was shifted to Cameron Bridge distillery, also owned by Diageo. Currently there are 4 operating single grain distilleries in Scotland: Invergordon, Girvan, Strathclyde, and Loch Lomond.

Port Dundas 18yr was aged for 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 43% alc/vol.

NOSE: Fragrant, vanilla, cream soda, honey, dried fruit.

PALATE: Creamy, oily, dried tropical fruit, vanilla, honeycomb, beeswax, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon. Very complex.

FINISH: Long, spice, oak, cinnamon.
