Meiomi Pinot Noir 2016 is a rich California wine with a deep berry-forward bouquet and subtle hints of star anise.
Meiomi Pinot Noir 2016
The Meiomi Pinot Noir 2016 is a creation of the Wagner Family of Wine, whose deep connection to the Napa Valley spans five generations. With roots dating back to the 1800s, Chuck Wagner, the patriarch, emphasizes the irreplaceable value of firsthand knowledge gained by living in the vineyard. While Chuck directs the renowned Cabernet program at Caymus Vineyards, Charlie crafts exquisite Chardonnay at Mer Soleil, Joseph produces fine Pinot Noir under Belle Glos, and Jenny learns the ropes at Caymus. The family’s longstanding winemaker, Jon Bolta, continues his skillful craft with Conundrum’s white wine blend.
Blending 60% Monterey County, 23% Santa Barbara County, and 17% Sonoma County fruit, Meiomi Pinot Noir 2016 offers a vibrant mix of berries on the nose, ranging from strawberry to blackberry, complemented by notes of graphite and tree bark. The palate unfolds with rich berry flavors and hints of star anise.
