Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio 2014 is an elegant wine with dry apricot, Asian pear, mulberry, white raspberries, propolis, and minerality, reflecting Livio Felluga’s winemaking heritage since 1956.

Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio 2014 presents a visually appealing yellow hue with light copper reflections. This elegant wine offers a well-balanced fusion of dry apricot, Asian pear, bread crust, mulberry, white raspberries, persimmon, propolis, acacia, and white fig. The palate is characterized by a savory, harmonious, and voluminous profile, displaying fatty qualities. The aftertaste unfolds with a long and complex array of fruity aromas, including yellow plum, jujube, and papaya. In this lighter vintage, the wine exudes delicate notes of sliced pear, green apple, and minerality, accompanied by a medium to light body and fresh acidity.

Founded in 1956 after Livio Felluga’s relocation from Istria, the winery boasts a rich winemaking heritage dating back to the mid-19th century. Livio Felluga, now in his 90s, is credited with innovating and mastering modern winemaking in Italy. The Livio Felluga Estate spans 500 acres, with 370 acres dedicated to rolling hillside vineyards in Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli. The region’s temperate climate, protected by the Alps to the north and moderated by the Adriatic Sea to the south, provides ideal conditions for winemaking. The sparse marl and calcareous soil contributes to the exceptional quality of both white and red wines.

Livio Felluga emphasizes subtle, elegant expressions of wines crafted from grape varieties that have thrived in Friuli for centuries. The hallmark of these wines lies in their balance, clarity, and commitment to minimal oak influence, allowing maximum freshness to shine through. The winery’s global reputation attests to Livio Felluga’s dedication to producing exceptional wines that stand out in their respective categories.
