The Horse Soldier Barrel Strength Bourbon serves as the most recent addition to their line, boasting more robust flavors than previous offerings. Distilled from a mashbill consisting of 70% yellow dent corn, 20% red winter wheat, 10% malted barley, the bourbon spent a total of 8 years in new, charred American oak casks before being bottled at a 113 proof in bottles cast using a mold made from salvaged steel from the World Trade Center.
Horse Soldier Signature Barrel Strength has flavors of caramel, honey, butterscotch, woodiness, cashew and spiced raisin with a hint of toffee. A deep inhale provides the nose sweet aromas with honey, apples, citrus, toffee and leather.
