Description
Hibiki is a blended Japanese whisky, produced by Suntory. Hibiki means resonance in Japanese. It is a very high quality blend of Yamazaki and Hakushu single malts, as well as grain whisky from Chita. The whisky is aged in various casks, including rare Japanese oak Mizunara, as well as plum wine casks. The label is printed on the traditional Echizen Washi paper. Bottled at 43% alc/vol.
Hibiki 17yr was named “editor’s choice” by Whisky Magazine. Superb and hard to find bottle.
NOSE: Rich, honey, wax, resin, oak, cacao, hints of cooked fruit and a nutty note.
PALATE: Full, notes of sweetness, raisins, custard, zest, oak.
FINISH: Long, oak, cocoa, sherry notes.
