Gordon & MacPhail Orkney 8yr Highland Park Single Malt Scotch

Hailing from the northernmost distillery in the world, this youngster of a Scotch (8 years) is certainly not lacking in flavor and comes at a great price. Built in 1798, Highland Park distillery, sitting in Scotland’s Orkney Islands, continues the rare tradition of malting in-house and smoking with peat cut from its own moorlands, giving the whiskey great salinity and soft, briny Sherry-tinged smoke. The result is a deliciously floral, grainy Scotch with a touch of honeysuckle sweetness on the finish. This is an excellent introduction to what Highland Park Distillery has to offer.
