Edradour 10yr is handmade, one of the last single malt whiskies from a traditional farm distillery still in production today.
Edradour 10yr Distillery Edition
Edradour’s ten-year-old single malt is a handcrafted gem, representing one of the final examples of traditional farm distilleries still operational today; adhering to methods unchanged over 150 years, it manages only modest commercial quantities, with its annual output equating to what larger distilleries produce in a mere week, making it a rare delight for the fortunate few. This expression matures in a blend of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks, and is chillfiltered at 40% ABV.
On the palate, anticipate a profile of spicy Christmas cake, alongside sweet golden syrup and hints of honeyed almonds, leading to a unique, old-fashioned richness stemming from the use of small copper farm stills.
Edradour is world renowned as the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland and arguably the most unique. Dating back to 1825, Edradour stands alone as the last stronghold of handmade single malt whisky from a farm distillery still in production today.
