A celebration of innovation, this rye whiskey is finished in hybrid American oak and cherry wood barrels for up to 6 months. Alternating cherry wood and oak staves toasted to custom specifications in the second finishing barrel provide this 95% rye with unique bursts of flavor, representing the best of our collaborative, creative spirit.
Origin Rye offers an aromatic profile with notes of herbal honey, fennel, candied cherry, orange peel, and dried apricot, accompanied by earthy pumpernickel, black tea, roasted oak, clove, and cinnamon. The flavors are characterized by herbal honey, candied cherry, black tea, roasted oak, fennel, caraway seed, orange peel, vanilla, oak bitterness, mint, and toasted grains. While the density and herbal sweetness are prominent, there’s a surge of dry earthiness, oakiness, and bitterness. The finish settles into a mix of earthy and herbal honey, bubblegum, pumpernickel, licorice, mint, dried oak, clove, and cinnamon, remaining somewhat dry and earthy.
