Antinori’s Solaia 2020 is a standout Super Tuscan from the Tignanello estate, crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. The wine reflects an excellent growing season that delivered perfectly ripened fruit, resulting in a deep, ruby red expression of intensity, harmony, and age-worthy structure. Its bouquet is layered and expansive, offering black cherry, cassis, blueberry, raspberry, and plum, woven with mint, myrtle, lavender, licorice, cocoa powder, cedar, clove, and pink pepper. These aromas carry seamlessly onto a rich, mouth-filling palate supported by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity.

Solaia 2020 balances power with finesse, showing a long, persistent finish that echoes notes of mint, licorice, and chocolate. Although already expressive, it remains youthful and built for longevity, with critics consistently awarding scores in the mid-to-high 90s. It is both enjoyable now and ideal for cellaring over the next several years to allow its full complexity to unfold.
