Description
Crafted at the historic Castello della Sala estate in the high-altitude, rolling hills of Umbria, the 2024 Bramito della Sala showcases a spectacular expression of Italian Chardonnay. Cultivated on soils rich in ancient fossil deposits with clay veins, the estate’s terroir infuses this white wine with remarkable mineral structure and freshness. To achieve its complex, beautifully textured profile, 40% of the hand-harvested fruit is fermented in French oak barrels (where it undergoes malolactic fermentation to develop body and richness), while the remaining 60% is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its vibrant, natural acidity and bright, primary fruit flavors. A delicate, enticing bouquet displaying white flower blossoms, bergamot tea, chamomile, and fresh Golden Delicious apple, balanced by soft, toasted undertones of hazelnut, warm brioche, and vanilla. Beautifully structured and energetic on the entry. An elegant texture with a medium-bodied, creamy mouthfeel showcases pristine flavors of ripe white peach, green apple, and vertical citrus.
