Yarden Merlot

Yarden Merlot

Yarden Merlot is an Israeli wine aged in French oak that showcases a rich nose of blackberry, ripe plum, licorice, and graphite and a full-bodied mouthfeel.

Yarden Merlot was produced from Merlot and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, all grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Aging in French oak barrels for fourteen months balances the existing orange zest and berry characters present in the wine with a layer of rich oak and vanilla. To preserve the quality of the wine, this bottle should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place.

The nose on Yarden Merlot wine is quite redolent and ready as soon as the wine is opened, with blackberry, ripe plum, licorice, and graphite. The mouth on this full bodied wine is mouth coating and crazy plush with layers upon layers of concentrated black fruit and raspberry.
