The Rutini family’s winemaking heritage traces back to the early 19th century in Le Marche, Italy, where Francisco Rutini initiated the tradition by crafting wines for the residents of Ascoli Piceno. His son, Felipe Rutini, later immigrated to the Americas, planting the first vines in Coquimbito, Maipu, Mendoza, Argentina, and establishing Rutini Wines in 1885. Under the motto “Labor and Perseverance,” Don Felipe Rutini solidified a legacy of exceptional quality wines. Expanding operations to Los Corralitos and Medrano, he passed away in 1919, entrusting the company to his descendants who continued the pursuit of excellence. Adding varietals such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and later Chenin, the Rutini family planted the first vineyards in Tupungato in 1925, shaping it into one of Mendoza’s premier viticulture regions. With a commitment to tradition and innovation, Rutini Wines has become one of the most successful and relevant brands in the industry.

The wine displays a very intense red hue with violet tinges. On the nose, vibrant red fruits such as cherry, currant, and a hint of plum come to life in this exceptionally well-crafted red. The influence of French oak introduces toasted notes, while the American barrel contributes its classic vanilla essence. The palate is full-bodied yet refined, showcasing a concentrated fruit character supported by the characteristic tannic structure found in Cahors reds.

This versatile red wine pairs excellently with a range of dishes, including grilled and roasted red meat, beef tenderloin with vegetables, roast lamb, meat pie with potatoes, wild rabbit Cacciatore (hunter style), chicken pie, and beef empanadas.
